PCB Designer and Electronics Engineer

EarthSense is looking for a motivated and experienced PCB designer to develop new embedded systems for our TerraSentia robot. For the right individual, the position opens opportunities to meaningfully influence the design of our award winning robots.

Responsibilities:

  • Design complex PCB boards with embedded sensing and computing for robot systems and components

  • Design PCB boards and power boards for motors and components in the robot

  • Integrate PCB design with the overall system architecture to achieve high reliability, performance, and battery life

  • Work with suppliers to obtain fabricated chips

  • Work with manufacturing team for integration of chips into the manufactured robots

  • Document and communicate all work

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Electronics/Electrical/Computer engineering or related discipline

  • 3+ years experience in designing PCB boards and chips for complex electronic devices

  • 3+ years experience in integrating device drivers and creating embedded software in C, C++, and other languages

Hardware and software test and integration engineer

EarthSense is looking for a motivated and experienced hardware and software test engineer for our robot TerraSentia. For the right individual, this opportunity opens the possibility to meaningfully influence the design and development of our award winning robot TerraSentia.

Responsibilities

  • Test robotic hardware-software integrated systems to meet specifications. Systems include hardware for robot motion, device drivers, software

  • Develop test routines and update specifications based on product requirements

  • Work with design teams to meet and exceed industry standard requirements for quality, reliability, and performance

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Electronics/Electrical/Computer engineering or related discipline

  • 3+ years experience in hardware software integration on complex systems

  • High degree of familiarity with C, C++, and Python

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Experience in hardware-software integration and testing for systems that operate in outdoor and dynamic environments is a bonus


Robotics and Machine Vision Interns

We are looking for energetic, and high performing individuals with a passion for robotics, agriculture, and sustainability. You should be pursuing an education program at BS, MS, or PhD level in science or technology related fields. You should have a strong desire to work in robotics, AI, agriculture, or machine learning. Experience is not necessary in these areas, but certainly desirable. Tell us why you want to be a part of our mission.

Machine vision software developer

Requirements:

  1. BS in engineering, computer science, or pure sciences

  2. Proven track record of innovation demonstrated through code repos, publications, or other achievements

  3. Experience in developing machine vision software

  4. Experience in developing algorithms in with deep learning frameworks inclduing tensor flow, Keras, Pytorch, or others

  5. Knowledge of image processing, deep learning, SVM and kernel methods, decision trees, reinforcement learning, unsupervised learning, and other machine learning techniques

  6. Experience in developing software in a team environment

Field research and Crop Science interns

You should be pursuing an education program at BS, or MS, level in agricultural science or technology related fields.
